Being a Product Manager in Kaleyra means to join a worldwide multi-cultural Product Team with connections in Italy, India and US.
In this role you will join the Kaleyra Enterprise Product Team that is focused in evolving our leading multi-channel cloud-based messaging services to banks, insurances, financial organizations, fintech companies as well as other Telcos and OTTs; in this specific role you will have a specific focus on management of Kaleyra messaging gateways for SMS channel in the Indian and APAC region.
You will be responsible for managing different SMS Gateways platforms according to the global Kaleyra strategy for the SMS gateway working closely with the Senior Product Manager for SMS Gateway and with the local tech teams.
You will be responsible for defining the roadmap for each gateways according to the global vision and OKRs; keeping the backlog up to date with priorities and requirements from the market, Sales Team, Ops Teams and customers; defining development priorities, deadlines and releases; monitoring and reporting KPIs and status to stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities of the role:
Creates, manage and share the product backlog and product roadmap
Drives product and feature launch together with a team of customer-focused engineers
Guarantees delivery of required product documentation, specifications, presentations and any other material
Gets insight from Business and Sales teams, Customers, Product Operations, internal and external research, usage data and relevant KPIs
Prioritizes improvements and new features development that will deliver business objectives and customer benefits
Interacts with internal and external technical and business stakeholders
Constantly aligns all stakeholders about product status and any critical path
Provides solutions in order to guarantee / improve product performance, quality, reliability and stability
Explores and identifies possible 3rd pty solution and/or partnership that can be integrated in Kaleyra product to achieve business or functional goals
Manages relationships with any 3rd party involved in product development to guarantee quality and deadlines
Required Experiences and Skills:
At least 4 years of Product Management experience in multinational software company
Knowledge of Agile frameworks and methodologies like SCRUM and KANBAN
Used to manage product backlog, roadmap and priorities
Able to understand and discuss technical architectures and software logic (and related pros, cons and potential issues)
Adaptability with the ability to quickly learn new information systems and integrate them into existing processes
Familiarity with understanding and using information from data analysis and/or business intelligence KPIs as evidence or potential issues or to improve product
Open-minded and open to discussion
Problem solving approach
Open to learn everyday something new
Proactive and used to work by objectives
Fluent business and technical english is a must (written and spoken)
Bonus skills and experiences
experience in messaging gateways and/or a CPaaS solution
experience on Wholesale Messaging and A2P SMS
Knowledge about how SMS works from telecommunication point of view
Knowledge about main routing problems and solution for SMS delivery
Having previous experience with banks, insurance and fintech and Large Enterprise would be preferred
This position is fully remote.
