We are on the look-out to hire an experienced technical content specialist to help create the right experience for developers to easily use our technology. This would mean creating, maintaining and revamping technical documents and manuals to explain complex information in a clear and concise way.

In this role, you will:
Recommend best tools for API documentation
Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements
Maintain existing documentation to stay current with feature updates and bug fixes
Analyze existing content and customer/developer requirements to identify gaps and opportunities, with a focus on repurposing content and single-source publishing
Develop, write and deliver high-quality comprehensive documentation appropriate for the intended audience. Copy must be comprehensible, consistent, well-punctuated, and grammatically and lexically correct.
Develop video user guides and tutorials as per product and documentation requirements
Ensure all-around consistency in content style, fonts, images and tone
Coordinate with other content specialists and marketing teammates across continents to ensure a unified written and visual voice for Kaleyra (the brand guidelines may help you here.)
Optimize content for search engines to locate material easily (implement basic SEO)
Keep up with best practices and trends for API documentation, user guides and other technical documents
What will help you succeed in this role:
3+ years of proven work experience in technical content creation and management
Hands-on experience with tools for document management, ticket management, code repositories, API testing and support centers (e.g. ReadMe, Confluence, JIRA, GitHub, Postman, Freshdesk, etc)
Hands-on experience with screen capture, recording, audio and video editing tools (e.g. SnagIt, LightShot, Audacity, Premiere, etc)
Excellent writing and editing skills in English
An ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in an appropriate format (text, pictures and/or video). You must be a master of the art of explanation.
An ability to think like a developer
An ability to plan in advance and execute with precision to meet deadlines
An eye for detail, tons of motivation, and a thirst to unlearn, learn and improve
A proactive and results-based approach to taking up and accomplishing goals
The ability to work well with other stakeholders and team members
Experience collaborating with teams using G-Suite and Asana/Trello
Experience doing research using multiple sources: primary, secondary or tertiary
Bachelor’s degree in any field, preferably with a developer background.
